1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

And THIS is why I just ordered the Grayson in shell cordovan. Thank you, Mr. Grangaard. You're a rockstar. You should be teaching classes to every single business school student in the country. If only every business leader cared about quality and value the way AE does, we'd never have hit this recession (no reasonable CEO would ever have bet an entire business on credit-default swaps). Lastly, thank you for the transparency. Only an American CEO is as open and forthcoming as you are. Thank you, once again, for proving that Allen Edmonds is, indeed, the Greatest American Shoe Company.

Second this notion. Agree to disagree, I think all points have been presented. It's gotten way out of hand and almost embarrassing to read.

Thank-you. I will wear the badge with honor, and enjoy the cake... and eat it, too. Err, something like that.:p

I think we'd all appreciate it if you could post in a much larger text and even more trollish please.

    I own both.

    Go with the Strands first.

But can't go wrong with either.

I commented in this thread a few months ago that my least comfortable pair of shoes are Allen Edmonds.

However, I recently realized that my MOST comfortable pair of shoes are ALSO Allen Edmonds.

I don't know what that means...

But I thought it was worth mentioning...

Sucks when someone selfishly clogs up the thread with their ramblings, doesn't it?

Question for the group, it seems like Dundee's are only made in cordovan, where they ever made in calf?

They were called Malverns but are no longer made. They were not discontinued long ago and if you hunt around you can still find them for cheap. I got a pair a month ago for $200 on 6pm.com

I believe Dundee is always shell cordovan but there are/have been calf/suede chukkas in different names like Amok for the suedes, etc.

I own both as well, and I similarly vote Strands, though I love em both. (Ok, I might be bragging just a little ; )

Strands on the right, obviously. (Alden on the left.)

I still don't have any great "in the wild pics" of my Jeffersons, but here ya go!
