Today, I'm rocking the Kiowas, and though they haven't gotten much love on the forum, I think they can work in certain situations, and certain pairs really came out nicely (I like mine a lot). I think, once you change the laces, they pair well with jeans and a coordinating shirt.

The Kiowa was on my radar, but the fit of the 5 last is iffy for me. Other than the Neumok, I haven't really found a makeup that works well for me.

    **Custom Shoe Update**

Leeds are winning by far. To remind everyone, the proposed makeup is a dark brown shell upper, natural welt and sole edge, double-oak JR soles. AE has agreed to do these for us with no additional custom shoe fee and throw in free shoe trees.

A mockup is here: (I had to use their dark brown calf color, but you get the gist. An actual picture of AE's dark brown shell Strands next to the Ralph Lauren brown shell PTB is below as well.)

Any others? If not, I will contact AE this afternoon and see if they will do it for us, even though we don't have 10. If this ends successfully, maybe we'll make this an annual event! I will PM those who have expressed interest with AE's answer / ordering information.

Wow, Bucksfan, very nice. If I didn't have the RL PTB, I'd seriously consider joining. But it looks like you already have it and will add this Leeds, anyway!

Recently got a pair of beautiful Bitter Chocolate Suede Player's Shoes from Nordstrom Rack for $199. Can't tell if they're seconds or not, because they seem flawless (save for a scuff on the bottom of one sole).

Problem is that my right foot is smaller than my left and I have a bit of heel slippage (though the rest of the shoe fits very well). Oh, and the left shoe is nice and snug, so I don't think sizing down would be a good solution. I'm assuming a tongue pad on the right shoe is the best way to go, but anyone have any other suggestions?

I jumped on the current sale on seconds; I'm getting burgundy shell MacNeil and neutral McTavish. Looking forward to next week and getting my first pair of cordovan shoes. I plan to treat the McTavish with neatsfoot oil to darken them some.

$50 off 1st pair and then $100 off second pair. I believe the sale ends today.
