I like mine quite a bit too, that was quite a deal.
how do I get informed of seconds on sale? I can't find any on their website.
To be honest the way I find out of great deals on seconds is right here on this forum
My Merlot McAllisters. I wore them today because I am excited to get my Bourbon Amsterdams that I ordered on Sunday. I called today to learn the warehouse at the shoe bank is shut down for inventory, so shipping is delayed. Now I am very envious seeing the other bourbons posted today.
The brown clifton on sale at Nordstrom now...does anyone have a pic of that color in real life?
the website photo makes it look pretty bland.
Walnut or Burgundy? I have the Walnut (Pictured here after a shine)
it's listed as just "BROWN" so not sure if it's burgundy?
Interesting, the website http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/allen-edmonds-clifton-oxford/2892042 shows either burgundy burnush, walnut, or black. This is the best picture I could find of the burgundy:
Here are my brown Cliftons. Been polished once with Kiwi, but the color wasn't noticeably different. I've said it several times here before - brown is the winning color for this shoe!
It looks like brown is the only color of Clifton that's on sale. Bummer.
Apologies for the misunderstanding, I thought I saw that they weren't recraftable earlier in the thread. Glad to hear they are!
There actually was an issue early on where AE said they would not recraft the Brooks Brothers shoes. Apparently there there needs to be a formal agreement - maybe Brooks has to pay something to AE - but eventually AE said they will recraft them. Seems odd; but it was discussed earlier in this thread.
The brown Cliftons look great IRL. Went to see the Lasalle yesterday, intent on buying a black pair, but was surprised with how nice the Cliftons looked!
So left work early today so I could get to Orvis to try on some Barbour and Filson stuff before they closed and I am half a block away when I feel something possibly hit my foot. I turn around to see if I accidentally kicked or dropped something and turn around and realize it's my heel on the sidewalk. There was some squeaking come from that shoe earlier in the day, but I didn't think it was much of an issue.
I am going to email AE to see what they can do for me.
WOW - Good grief.
