+1. I wear LL Bean Boots and carry my shoes when the snow and salt is really bad.

I hve the dark brown Fifth Avenues, and I can't see anyone mistaking them for black.

I would probably vote for the merlot McAllister.

Also very true. Take opinions for what they are when subjective things are being discussed.

I fully agree here too. The gap looks great and will likely adjust a bit as the leather forms to your feet and the footbed sinks in a little. The stitching issue is actually not that uncommon. I have a pair that is the same way. I noticed it a lot at first, but now I could care less. Enjoy them, they look great!

I do think it is worth clarifying that the granite grey is much nicer looking than the rough grey leather of the Long Branch, McTavish, Aberdeen, Pierpont, etc. The granite grey is just a different color of calf with some dark highlights. Even though they aren't for me (not a place for the color in my wardrobe), they still look nice. It is only the rough grey leather that I feel like was a "miss." Again, no offense to anyone that has bought them and likes them, they just aren't my cup of tea.

My brother wears his Strands to work and gets compliments on them all the time. He needs a couple more pairs of casual shoes, so I was thinking the McTavish and McAllisters, unless you guys have any other recommendations.

Also, it looks like I just missed Amazon's and the Shoebanks' deals, am I right? I guess maybe Boxing Day might be the best time to get a few? I used to keep track of this thread but there are so many posts; I guess I'll have to resume keeping track of it from now on.

I guess it depends on how you define "casual," but I think the merlot McAllister is quite a bit more on the formal side. They would certainly go well with suits. The McTavish is definitely a casual shoe. I would probably recommend the chili Delrays.

    Very nice Bradleys!!

I have them in burgundy shell and black shell. They are versatile. Can be dressed up - or even way down.

Looking good! Nice color. I think they'll look even better once you get some wear on them. Enjoy.

I tried these on in calf and I REALLY liked the fit of that list. It fit like a glove. I don't know what kind of feet I have if that last really fits me well. Anyone know? And what other lasts would likely fit me really well as well then?
