Guys I have the bourbon stand would brown shell strand be too close to have both

No.

The brown shell Strands will be considerably darker. I have them. And to make them look better than they do out of the box, I would strongly endorse an application of Saphir dark brown shell cordovan cream. It made mine look much better, IMO.

I'm looking for suggestions on my next AE purchase. I already have:

Black Flatirons
Brown Fifth Streets
Merlot McAllisters
Walnut Strands

While I plan on getting a brown shell Strand at some point, that may have to wait until next year as a birthday gift for myself. In the meantime, I'm debating between the Walnut burnished calf Jeffersons or the Bourbon Larchmonts.

Any thoughts?

If you're thinking Jeffersons (which I like), just throw another $100-ish in the mix and snag the brown shell Strands. :D

Amazon still has some pretty good deals for those can't wait until next week. A number of popular AE styles are discounted, plus certain ones are eligible for an extra 20% off (with the code DRESSHOL). I picked up a pair of black McAllisters for $200 + tax. Just hope the pair has not been tried on or worn too much. It is a gamble with pairs from Amazon...

Do you guys find the 1 last to fit TTS compared to the 5 last (Park Avenue etc.)?

I sized down 1/2 from 1 last (dalton) to 5 last (strand)

Really hmmm I tried on Bradleys (1 last) and Mcallister (5 last) in 9.5 D and they both fit well but Bradley was more snug (in a good way).

EDIT: Nevermind, read it wrong. You sized down 1/2 on the 5 last...I can see that.

Do all Allen Edmonds fit the same? The Park Avenues gave me this problem:

Would the McAllisters likely do the same?

To answer the first question, no. For the second question, in the same size, possibly.

But more importantly, have you considered reevaluating your current AE shoe size?

Would you say bowing out is a result of the size being too long, too small, or too wide, narrow?
