1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Thanks for the input kind sir. On a similar note, my plan is to sometime in the future get a pair of Strands/McAllisters (whichever pair I don't get in walnut) in bourbon - I absolutely love that color. I see that the Strands come in bourbon, but it doesn't look like the McAllisters do... So perhaps that makes my choice for me.

I love the idea of dark brown shell Leeds w/brown welt & edge trim. Similarly spec'd Macneil would be my 2nd choice.

The Leeds of which you speak sit in my master closet as I type. They look great - and are very comfortable. :nodding:

I think some of my shoes have expanded slightly from shoe trees. Even though they are the correct size from Allen Edmonds, they seem too big / difficult to put in and take out sometimes. This seems to have only happened to shoes that had trees in them that have not been worn in a few months.

Has anyone experienced this and if so how can I bring the shoes back to their original size?

The Fifth Street boots are on sale as a closeout style. Does anyone have any experience with them?

once shoes are stretched they can't be un stretched. It happened to some of my shoe as well. I don't really care. Just tiny bit of extra room. I have a pair of leather insole. I just use these insoles on shoes that are a bit loose. Get a pair of thin leather insole and you will be sorted.

My first AE purchase... I took advantage of the college promotion (yay grad school that work is paying for....) and got the tie and belt free with with a pair of shoes. I got a pair of walnut strands, but they didn't have my size in walnut so they just shipped them... I assume I'll get them after the holidays.

I have both Strands and Fifth St boots. These boots are a bit narrow. I would say get 10EEE on the boots. On mine I had to go half size up as amazon only had D width.

Crap, I just ordered a pair of each color. Guess I'll call them in the morning. Maybe they'll hold back some EEEs in case I need to send the Es back?

I'm the same size, 9D, in both, but my Strands are shell.

Excellent deals on the Cliftons and Player's. I really want a pair of either but Nordstrom's shipping to Canada saddens me.

How would the Lasalle's work with a suit? They seem a little bulky in the photos.
