It's where you get Factory 2nd's from Allen Edmonds. Shoes with minor defects for well below cost. I just got a pair of Bayfield boots for $160 and the "blemish" was hardly noticeable.

Email them to find out. It varies a lot.

This can be true; however, I got a pair and the outside part of ht left shoe is badly creased. It worsened with wear and they wouldn't take it back.

Just be patient! If you think you may have to return them to exchange, don't hesitate.

For all you asking about the shoebank, please note that every outlet store across the US pulls from the same supply of shoes. You can contact any location by phone to place an order or enquire about particular shoes / sizes.

Personally, I email the shoebank for lists occassionally to get an idea on pricing/availability for a vast number of shoes, but during busy sale periods, I will call my [somewhat] local store to place an order. If I have a question regarding a particular shoe or if a certain size is available, I call the local store as well.

Shipping and returns are free no matter where you order from.

I don't know if this is impressive, funny, or sad. :D

Okay - I'll go with impressive. :slayer:

This is interesting, and perhaps just confirms the fact that it is all personal style.

I have 2 black captoe balmorals - one straight tip from C&J; one perf tip from Alden (shell) (not medallion toe). I easily prefer the perf tip. :nodding:

I'm trying to find a decent pair of Wingtips without a leather sole. Something I can walk downtown or to the bars latenight with.

    http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCat...lor=BROWN&sort_by=&sectioncolor=&sectionsize=

Was looking at these but was considering adding a topy? sole to the bottom of the players wingtips. How much would that cost? And does anyone know anything on those slip on wingtips for brooks brothers. Please help me haha

For the McTavish I just picked up a tin of saddle soap, however the AE rep said to use leather lotion?
    - should I use one or the other? both?
