The seams look less bulky in person, check them out first.
Thanks. Are they on display at Nordstrom yet?
Yeah, I feel like they tried to make a Delray that was even more "dressed up/formal" by designing it with an even sleeker look, but then took the Bradley's stitching and went in the complete opposite direction. I would say the Bradley is the second least formal AE shoe I own (after the McTavish), and it's largely in part to the prominent stitching (as well as the overall rounder shape).
I have a pair of Senaca's. They are a split toe like the Delray but made on the number 5 last. They are sleeker in my view and I like them.
I agree. I'm not liking this as much as the Delray.
The Parkway looks like it has a handsewn apron, while the Delray's is clearly machine stitched. It's a matter of preference, of course, but I think the handsewing makes it look like a higher quality shoe than the Delray.
Not to get too far afield, but that sleeve length and the break on the trousers are more along the lines of how suits used to be tailored. At least, that is how I remember and still have most of mine done.
I agree with others that the shoes are too light for the suit.
You can't see the shirt cuff when you have your suits on?
With any bend at the elbow you can, but not when the arms arms are straight down.
I think the pants need a little more hemming, and the tie is too dark.
I just received a pair of Jefferson's in Black. As this is my first pair of AE (received these as a replacement for a scuffed pair I ordered), I'm not really sure what to do.
The pair arrived with some white paint(?) on the tongue of the right shoe.
Here's a picture:
Is this normal for AE?
I'm quite surprised that a company with such a stellar reputation for quality would let that ship out of their warehouse.
If it helps, I measure an 11C. The 11D Players shoe was too tight for me (whereas the 11D on the #5 last is much too big).
Just came today
Rutledge, Norwich, Neumora
Long time AE fan and IMO these are some of the best ever.
Nice shoes, maybe in the wild next time. Enjoy, good sir...
