1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Thanks for the heads-up on the sale! Just ordered the Malvern in brown. Had a hard time deciding between it and the Bayfield. I think I prefer it because of the less rugged sole.

Is this something they have fixed for unsold shoes?

I've got a pair of seconds on order that should ship out this friday and it would be a shame if my boots had this issue. I would imagine they would still stand by repairing seconds (a heel separation is definitely too much of a flaw to be a second)

All I can help you with is give you relatives to other AE lasts that work for me...so the Graysons are the 7 last, and for me I am a 13D in the 7 last, and a 12.5E (tough to find) in the 5 last.

Ordered a pair of 11D Dalton's in walnut for 149 from the Freeport store.

Currently have Weybridge chili and Fifth Avenue walnut, which I love so looking forward to the new addition.

I'm glad Edward in Freeport is getting some business from SF! I couldn't be more pleased with the service I've received there over the years.

I'm 11.5 D Alden Barrie last, and 12D in Graysons (#7 last). You'll love them - I have black calf and burgundy shell cordovan, and wear the black ones with socks and the cordo ones sometimes with and sometimes without.

    Nice - you'll love them.

Oh right, I meant to mention that. The customer service has been amazing so far.

I just wish AE would ship USPS to Canada!

Looks like I got a pair of black Fifth Street seconds for $139. That's a steal if the flaw isn't noticeable.

I remember someone considering the San Marco a few pages back as a casual shoe, it's on sale now for $195, heaps of sizes. Doesn't look half bad in the brown.

I mentioned to Edward Wickham, Mgr of Freeport Factory store that he was well known around these parts. He seemed genuinely surprised. He's a real modest guy. I'm so glad folks are ordering by phone/email. He shipped some shoes to me a while back and it was a simple transaction. I was in ME for business and I tried on the Tresana in a different color to determine the size and the shoes arrived at my house from NY's Madison Ave. location even before I got home.
