Whatever you do, don't use Saphir Renovateur. That'll strip the burnishing right off.

Presumably using just a conditioner or lotion will be safer than something with a cleaner. So if buying AE brand, consider Leather Lotion instead of Conditioner/Cleaner.

I did mine as a MTO and not the Webgem. Correspondingly, according to my invoice, the model number listed is 7605. Unfortunately, I am not at home and none of the pics that I have on my phone show the inside of the shoe, so I sadly can not confirm that is the number printed in the shoe.

-Mike

Thanks for responding. Unsurprisingly, 7605 is the number for Black Burnished Calf.

Still no concrete evidence of a Cappuccino/Truffle Jefferson other than that one photo that looks more like Brown.

I think I have worn them roughly 3-4 times. They do exist. @Pastor has a pair, but with darker edging.

Ah!!! Gotcha. I don't remember, but I thought they did the McAllister in Cappuccino and then did a Brown Shell Jefferson.

Those are certainly the only model numbers I found below:

I couldn't help but notice a bunch of shell cordovan models missing from the AAAC thread, so I decided to amend it with models from allenedmonds.com, shoebank.com, the outdated ShoeCareReference.pdf, various searches, and my own personal collection:

Please let me know anything I missed. Note that MTOs will often not have their own numbers, and instead reuse an existing one; my Burgundy Shell Kenilworths say 8005, which actually corresponds to Black Custom Calf.

If you have a Jefferson, I'd love to know it's code and whether you think it's Brown or Cappuccino/Truffle. Old seconds lists called 7666 "Brown Cordovan Jefferson", but I also see Jeffersons listed in a Cappuccino promo picture.

If you happen to own a lighter version of one that comes in multiple shades of brown (Dundee, Jefferson?, Park Avenue, Patriot, Strand), check to see whether maybe you got a Cappuccino/Truffle (synonymous) or Walnut one that was mislabeled as Brown and let us know.

If anyone's interested in Daltons in Walnut (9.5D) or Sturgis in Nubuck (9.0D) shoot me a PM. Keep the sale alive!

Good evening all, does anybody know if the " Brooks Brothers Double-Stitch Split-Toe Bluchers" is made by Allen Edmonds (Item #MH00027). It's on sale for 184 with the original price being the usual 368 for most BB by AE shoes; the item also has the same tap sole and is made in the USA. Is there an AE equivalent?

Just wondering for sizing purposes; not sure if the shoe is for me, but with free shipping for amex cardholders (shoprunner), I may just give it a try.

Did some searching around and found a shoe with the same rubber sole and dovetail made FOR brooksbrothers stamped as allen edmonds.

LOL "made by brooksbrothers stamped as allen edmonds."

other way around. BB does not make shoes. AE makes certain models for BB.

I suspect not, since it has dovetail heel and non-V-tread tap sole, but even if it is you'd need to know what last it was on to pick the right size.

Yes, those are actually the components used in the AE BB models.

Yes, it is made by AE. Also goes by Montgomery, and was one of those special make ups for Nordstrom and maybe even JAB. Have no clue what last it's in though. Hope this helps.
