The cordovan is not from Horween if I recall correctly. Personally, I don't think it matters as much for a belt

Also I belive @allaboutshoes is even cheaper during the RDA for those belts.

I'm not familiar with allaboutshoes. What's the story? Is it seconds?

Well, it could be the picture, but since it can be seen in both I'm assuming its pretty apparent. But both boots seem to suffer from "striping" or the plural of stripe, more prominent in the right boot. Some call it the tiger stripe. Its an issue with the finish and seems to happen most in burnished shoes like Bourbon and I've seen some on display at a store in Bob's Chili that had the striping. It would be something I might expect to see in 2nds but definitely not 1sts. Unless you just like the look but its not something that is normal or designed to be there. Other than that the boots look great. Don't really see any issues with them. I've got some brown Harrison 2nds that have a slight stripe effect that can probably be covered up with a good Reno and polish. Though I haven't done it yet but need to soon.

I was thinking the same thing re: the striping. I've seen worse, but only on seconds.

Here's one of the Harrisons I was talking about.

Very slight. The Independence collection probably has a higher tolerance for finishing errors though given the price point.

Thank you guys for the advice, I was actually thinking you were going to say something about the toe medallion on the right boot being slightly off center. Do you think the striping issue warrants a return? With a polish will the issue gradually fade? These were the last in stock for my size so I'd have to wait 4 weeks or so for a new pair. Sorry if this is dumb, but can you all tell me where you are seeing the RDA flyer? Several people have mentioned it specifically, but I don't see anything on the main site...

I would not even keep those at seconds pricing myself. I would wait the 4 weeks for a tolerable pair myself. It is not worth the amount of time and polish that would be required to get those into normal condition.

I see cats in your name twice, so maybe you dig the feline style striping. :)

I am with @dubs, especially cause when that boot is done right in bourbon it is spectacular.....

+1

I also noticed how the lacing is considerably wider apart in the right boot. Cats33cats, are the shoes comfortable in fit?
