1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Ritchie is totally right. It's not unheard of to go down a half size from brannock, especially on a last like the 201. But down to a 9.5? Unless you've got yourself some monkey toes that look like fingers, you're gonna be in a world of hurt. IF you really feel the width is good in the 9.5D, you should think about trying a 10.5 B or 11 B.

Ok, this conversation took a turn that's decidedly more interesting than footwear.

Tell us about some of your other hobbies!

OK guys, I have been away for months, but had to jump on this morning to show my new AE's. The Independence Line Bartlett. I will show some more pics after I get them polished up.

Those look great! Did you size the same as the 65 last? Is the cap pushed further back than the strand?

Brand new First Ave boots in action. Just received them again yesterday after an initial sizing mishap...Break in is killing me right now as they're quite stiff.

Looking good! I have a brown calf pair waiting for me at the store waiting to see if I want to exchange my pebble grain par. Hopefully, I'll get time to stop by this weekend.

You dropped down 1.5 sizes in length from brannock? And they are still long?! What size do you wear in 65 lasted shoes? How did everyone else fit their First Aves?

    Questions about recrafting...

My navy suede Players are looking a bit tired but that's due to overuse as I love them. Anyone ever recrafted suede with AE? Happy with the results? And can you drop them off at a store for recrafting and have them sent to the house when done?
