1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I need some shoe trees badly. With the recent acquisitions, my collection grew to over 20 pairs. Need a sale from JAB.

Is it necessary to have a shoe tree for each pair? I have ten pairs and three trees I rotate.

I'm sure that's fine, just seems like a lot of effort

Unless you feel like you need them right away, I'd wait a little on this. During Christmas (I think) last year I feel like I saw them for 7.50 - 8.50 almost every other week.

I think JAB is done offering their shoe trees under $10. I haven't seen them on sale under 12.50 this year. I'm guessing Men's Warehouse merger has something to do with it.

Does the scarf work with the coat?

Then I was thinking brown gloves to compliment the charcoal coat. I'll be wearing brown shoes (walnut, merlot, burgundy) more often than my 1 black AE shoe. I don't really want to get black AND brown gloves just for the sake of my 1 black PA.

Summer weekly rotation. The McTavish is a new addition. Super solid shoes but the double sole makes it look so much fatter than all my other AEs despite being half a size smaller. I wear EEE so that doesn't help either.

PSA, I'm about to post my pair of burgundy shell Leeds (seconds) at the MP unless anyone here call dibs tonight. Since most everyone here are shoebank buyers and always looking for a good deal. Size 8.5D. PM for interest and price check.

Took the kids to the park today wearing my AE Sheltons, and in the playground, my six year old daughter jumped off a climbing frame and landed on the toe of my left shoe.
Minor marking and I can feel two slight indentations.
    Is this permanent damage?
Or will it polish out ?

Does AE ever do a Labor day sale? If not, when is the next sale expected?

Several of the new Fall styles are up. Have my eyes on the walnut Cornwallis and brown grain First Ave.

Really wish I'd bought those Eagle County boots you were selling a few months ago.

That's what I call the "real life patina." polish over and, if it doesn't go away, use the blemish to remind you of the lovely day you had with your child. :)

Thanks for your opinion man. Looks like the only thing stopping me from making the purchase is waiting until the next 30% BB corporate discount in a month or two!!

Saw the Jefferson 2.0s at the store. It is essentially the McAllister design in independence form. I liked the Jefferson design better than the McAllister.
