1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I believe this picture is from the AE website, with President Bush.

Looks like it's taken at a Nordstrom Rack or similar store.

I agree with BackInTheBox. It looks like that photo was taken at a store.

One of these might be the photo you're thinking of:

I measure 8.5D on the brannock and take 8E on 65 last blucher and 9D on 5 last.

Other factors that come to play for me is type of insole as poron really affects my vgap. Also rough collection shoes I have to size 0.5 down (Elgin, Stewart, Neumok).

Ha. Hadn't seen that. That's awesome. Looks like a McAlister as well. This was at the Mebane outlet though. Think it was like a 9.5E or something.

Quote: I thought the same thing. Not sure that it is, but as a Wisconsinite, it would make sense. I wonder if he's an Allen Edmonds fan. The ill-fitting suit doesn't suggest he's too into fashion, though.

Well, the early 2000's were practically the 90s, and baggy suits were still kind of the norm. Also, it takes style trends longer to trickle down (see what I did there?) to the conservative old-mens clubs in the beltway.

Aside from this, I never found Paul Ryan to be all that fashionable. I mean, that hairstyle....

I just want y'all's opinion to see if I am being too picky. I bought these first quality Jeffersons from the clearance sale for $387, after getting some horrendous seconds. I also own a pair of seconds in brown that look awesome besides a mis aligned medallion.

So here is the pics of the first qual Jefferson. I sent a email to Rae Ann at Allen Edmonds when I noticed the bubbling, and was offered a 15% discount. I was content until I noticed the cuts in the leather, (very minor) and difference in the back height of the shoe.

    Thoughts?

Do they fit well and do you like them? If yes/yes, then keep. Else, return. The back height thing is a little strange, but if it doesn't affect fit or your happiness with the shoe it doesn't matter.

Are you sure that those are cuts in the actual leather? From that picture it's hard to tell but it might just be a tiny bit of plastic wrap left over from the welting process. They typically cut that off after the sole's been attached.

If it's in the actual leather, you must return.

I'm going to pretend that I don't see Donald trump on your TV...

Before this thread goes off the rails politically, this one's for @Neo1: opened the July 4th email ad looking for new clearance items and noticed the golden Rush Streets are now officially on clearance for $247. Shoebank prices are adjusted accordingly to $197. We are on the way...

Ok, I certainly didn't mean to take this off-topic, was just trying to comment that the particular picture had a screen grab of Trump making a rather amusing facial expression.

I always try to keep my rather strong political beliefs away from this forum. Let's keep it on style! :foo:

To get a store to price match, let's say, the Nordstrom Anniversary sale prices, do you have to show the sales associate physical evidence? If so, how??

No, they'll just match it for you if you ask them to.
