1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Maybe this isn't the place for this, but is there a way to search the marketplace by size? Seems like you have to wade through a ton of stuff to find anything.

I thought about this too, and it's good to hear it's being worked on... though, this might be a very dangerous thing too

I'm quite aware. I just figured I'd pick them up at $199 since they'll likely end up lasting me the rest of my life. I've got 10 pairs myself, soon to be 12 once some Lexington seconds and these Heritages arrive.

New chili University firsts. Perfect fit right out of the box. I'm sure these will quickly become favorites, though noticeably not as breathable as a leather sole in my sticky climate.

These always look so sharp whenever pics of them are posted.

I'm somewhere between an 8 3E (heel slightly slid but is better with a tongue pad) and an 8.5 E (a little too snug in width. My SA said that the 8 3E and 8.5 E are pretty much the same length. I recently learned 2E is an option. If anyone has gone 2E would you recommend I try 8 2E or 8.5 2E? Thanks!

Has anyone else got the feeling that when you send a slightly defective pair of AE's back to the warehouse to exchange for a new pair, that they dont actually send you a new pair of shoes, but rather they just patched up the original pair and resent them to you as a different "new pair"?...im pretty sure this happened with a pair I tried to exchange.

Anyone know where the "tan saddle" color of the Gobi fits in the AE spectrum, especially compared to walnut and bourbon? It's hard to tell on screen, and I've never seen anything tan saddle in person. I'm especially wondering how different a tan Gobi would be from my bourbon Bleecker.

The tan saddle would be much different than bourbon; tan saddle comes off more like light chili with more orange/red tones than the olive tone of bourbon

    Which would you buy first?

Used firsts on eBay or seconds from the Shoe Bank?

When did these automatic video ads start on SF? Lately, I've heard voices through my stereo and when I investigated, it's videos on these sacred pages. That's a bit much!

Definitely seconds from Shoe Bank. They are guaranteed reputable and you can return if need be.
