There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I apologize in advance for this noob question. But are the BB/JAB AE shoes made to the same quality as the AE shoes they directly sell? I understand there may be style differences.

Yes. Style differences usually include poron insoles, a different sole, and/or a different last -- but they're made to the same standards, on the same production lines, by the same people.

You could get the natural edge from sanding away the edge dressing until a rewelting is needed... and then get a natural welt to complete the look.

I own all three. They're all on the same last, but I find my Fifth Avenues are more comfortable than my Park Avenues, and my Strands are significantly more comfortable than both of them.

I am having the same situation with Strand vs. McAllister. I've had the Strands for a couple of months, and they are barely just now feeling wearable. On the other hand, the McAllisters are perfect right out of the box this week, worn only once. Admittedly the Strands are seconds and McAllisters are firsts, but I don't know if this makes any difference.

Really? I was looking at what I thought were BB version of the Fifth aves, and they look kind of sloppy when you zoom in - especially in the brogue area.

    Edited to add link.

Medium Brown Transparent with Chili Welt is the closest to Antique in my opinion. Brown Shell with Medium Brown Transparent Edges. [IMG] Cappuccino Shell with Light Brown Transparent Edging. [IMG] The light brown transparent is nice, but I don't like the heel area on it. -Mike

Good idea, but I wouldn't trust myself with sand paper with any of my shoes/boots... haha :)
I think the medium brown transparent edges would be a good/close enough route! Can this be requested with a recraft?

And great makeups on both of those! :)

Where did you find the Slaton? I'm trying to find one in 13D.

Love me some Bradleys. I don't know how much longer I can wait for a pair. Come on, Shoebank!

I picked up brown Bradleys from the Trunk Show and haven't worn them yet. I really like them, but they haven't made it into the rotation. If the rain stops here, they may get their first run this weekend.

Trying to decide between the Clifton and Stratton. Which has a lower, slimmer profile? Thanks!!

Hmmm interesting. I wonder if I could call NR CS and get them to do a countrywide inventory search? Anyone done this?

What role do you want them to play in your rotation. I consider my Cliftons one of my favorite pairs. I have walnut, but I really think chili would be a perfect color for this shoe. Will be trying to darken the walnut over time with some brown polish.

Question: does anyone have any sizing advice on the Larchmont? I'm an 11E in the 65 last. Do you guys think a 10.5 3E in the larchmont work for me? The closest AE store is a bit of a trek for me, so I'd rather purchase and return if something doesn't work, but I also don't want to try a size the definitely will not fit.
