Thank you! The manager at the outlet sent me the below pictures of the boots. I am not really an expert here, but I am having trouble finding any major issues. Hard to tell if the light is causing coloring issues in the picture.

Are they size 9.5? If so, I might have returned them--they have a drastic color difference between the left and right boot.

No, They are a 10.5D. I ended up ordering them. When I called back, they ended up giving them to me for 299!

definitely size down on 744's. compared to my tts daltons, the -0.5 sized 744's still have more room in the toebox.

I like the cap detail on the 744 but I prefer the sleeker last of the Bayfield. I am justifying that it is more versatile so that I wont call as well haha.

The color is Horween shell No. 449 a dark brown cordovan.
It has some red and olive undertones, depending on the light.

Much to @feyy 's disappointment I don't think I'll be going for the navy calf eagle country boots. I'm going to need to buy a suit instead this spring and I'm already finding that I don't wear most of the shoes in my rotation which has ballooned to some 12 AE's from 2 over the past 10 months. For some reason or another my shells get worn more often than my calf...I wonder why?
