what type of specials were there last year on BF?

What's the typical deal to expect? heavy discounts on clearance and minor discounts on favorites such as the Strands, Park Ave etc...?

Wow. I'm wondering if I could go down half a size? ;-) Perhaps @peppercorn78 is interested?

Thanks, but I'm on the large size on 10.5 3E. 20 would definitely be too small. Lovely shoes though...

I see AE posts better pics on their FB profile.

The Mcgregor's in suede are looking great.

    Maybe a stupid question:

What is the difference between Shell and Chromexcel leather?

Shell is horse, and Chromexcel is cow. They're both oil-stuffed leathers with pull-up. Shell is beautiful, but is also quite expensive. Chromexcel isn't as pretty, but it can look a bit more like shell than regular calf. Chromexcel is more likely to take a rough, distressed look as it ages.

Some of the special Black Friday styles are hidden under the Online Exclusives section:

Eagle River (basically the Eagle County with a lug sole):

The teak Long Branch that has been showing up lately on the shoebank:

The McClain has been resurrected in a brown "polished" leather:

I got a nice $40 bill when I went to pick my stands up. Didn't calculate what portion was what, I was just upset at the time.

Can anyone help shed some light on how they sized their Long Branch boots? For reference I am a size 8C on the 5-last (Strands, McAllisters) and have Portland Boots (333 last I believe?) in 7.5D.....since the LB doesn't come in C widths on the 511 last, do you think I should go with 8D or 7.5D? Local store didn't have either to try on...and the online reviews on AE's website are conflicting--some say size down and some say size up...thanks for your help.

Are Daltons okay to wear in summer and spring too or are they only a fall and winter boot?
