I am pretty close to buying the Mojaves. Anyone comment on them, including the durability of the sole?

Thank you. I love the depth of color in the Shell Cordovan on the Strand. I have the Walnut Shell Dalton as well, but I do not feel like I get the same depth out of them due to the larger pieces of leather. However, they also don't have 2 years of wear and patina on them, so they aren't in the same place maturity wise either.

My walnut shells are definitely very new, as I got one of the last pairs from Pelle Line. They're interesting, as one of the rear quarters is quite a bit lighter than the rest of the boot. There is a lot of variation in colour in mine, but I've grown to love it. Over time, mine will acquire even more colour than they already have.

As for Daltons vs Strands, I'm a boot guy, so I'm very happy happy with my decision.

My Dalton's are in the exact same boat as yours. I got them from Pelle Line back in November or December. I am looking forward to getting more sun on them.

Mike, those are gorgeous. Makes me jealous that I don't have any walnut shell.

Sorry my friend, not my intent. We should petition or something to see if they would place another order.

We might be able to twist some arms if we get enough people :)

I was actually pretty close to placing an order for the 9.5 walnut shell daltons at Pelle Line. Alas, they would be a half size too big so I thought better of it.

Yeah, it sucks to have a pair of shoes in nearly the perfect size, but not quite.

Walnut Shell Cordovan Strands that I wore yesterday (forgot to bring home camera). Probably my favorite of all my shoes.

I believe the their best deal for shoe trees is 3 for $25

Yes, I have gotten them a few times for around $8-9. $12.50 still is a decent deal though.

Mdubs,

Those walnut shell strands are spectacular. One of the nicest pair of AE's I have seen

Now I'm thinking I need some chromexcel, after seeing those CXL strands.

What colors does AE stock? I may ask Allison for some swatches.

Those CXL strands look awesome. I would personally go with the brown CXL
