Maybe go for the suede Strand that just went on sale for $249?
^ I got a list that has suede Strand seconds as $179. That's tough to pass up
Ohhhhh the Brogue suede???
I can't post pics from my phone either. It looks like it's working. Takes a bit of time and then the message is just blank.
I also get ads over the quote button typically also. Drives me crazy.
Dubs, I have the same exact issues! I guess I'll switch back to tapatalk.
My $99 Black Friday Long Branch seconds are by far the most comfortable AE's I have. I can't stop wearing them.
I haven't been able to post pics from my phone for a couple of days, and it's been hit and miss from my computer. I think there is an issue with SFs website.
^^ I seem to be Ok from my comp. Phone is a no go.
Would they be as comfortable if they were $350 Full Retail firsts?
You may want to wait. You can often get the Brooks Brothers Strand for $159 or less when all BB seconds go on sale; not to mention 2 for $300 or 2 for $250 factory seconds sales that sometimes occur.
I noticed on the AE website that AE suede strands are on closeout with very few sizes left. Not sure how the seconds inventory is, but they're gone once they're gone.
Great idea! Currently waiting to hear back about the list in my size
While the suede strands are great I already have the Kenilworth in brown, I want it in walnut so I have some variety.
Let's hope it's sooner than later for the sale. I'll keep an eye out.
As you may know, the Strand is usually a featured shoe in the annual Nordstrum's Anniversary sale each July-August. The walnut anyway. First quality Strands went for $219 in 2012 and $229 this year. If it were me, I'd hold off for a sale on either 1sts or 2nd's.
Years ago I mailed in a pair of black McAlisters for recrafting. I had probably worn them for 15 years prior to that, entirely without shoe trees and only very rarely cleaning and polishing. There were holes in each the size of quarters.
I got a handwritten note back in the mail saying "Regretfully, your only options are for us to return these to you 'as is' or we can give them a dignified burial here."
So, there is a limit to what even AE can accomplish.
