    I suggest trying on a calf version and going with that size. We have approximately the same size foot, so I agree you will likely end up with 8.5 D/E.

    MWS always provides great advice, I'll certainly send mine in sooner having read that.

    ^ for the shell PA's concern, FWIW I haven't found the shell vs calf fit to be so different that it warrants a size change when going from one to another...

    Thanks guys!

    I own several pairs of Aldens but these will be my first AEs. I know how odd sizing can be, but I'm not going to wait months for Alden when AE is offering a brown shell option.

    So, it seems that there are no Long Branch seconds in my size. I ended up biting the bullet and ordering from the website. I figure, I saved $100 on the Kenilworths I ordered locally, full retail for a boot I really want might just be worth it. Can't wait until both pair come in!

    Factory seconds for the strand is $269. Should I wait for a sale on them? Or just bite the bullet?

    Just be warned Goose, AE's finishing really doesnt compare to Aldens (at least in my opinion)

    I know you guys in here might be a little biased but I am looking for a suede shoe and I hear the Neumok is on for $149 during the factory second sale so I might see if they have a pair in my size. The problem is that I already have a couple of wingtips including both the Dalton and McAllister, should I hold out and MTO something in a PTB in suede or maybe get the Alden PTB?


    Here is my collection of shoes, help guide my next shoe purchase... (not shown: BB Park Ave in Dark Brown, just bought from a member here)
