These are being sent back for a resole after today's wearing. I put in the "Cousin Traci" laces from Benjos. I can't wait to get these back from AE!

Just got invoiced for my shell strand MTO! Also, have a pair of standard shell MacNeil's coming in today. Exciting week! [IMG]

What do the McTavish, Neumok, and Strandmok fit like? I wear a 8.5E in the dalton, but it's a little roomy for thicker socks. I tried a 8E 5A on and that fit well aside from some heel slip that I think would go away after some settling in with the cork footbed.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

For the McTavish and Neumok I sized down 1/2 size and went one width up from my size on the Brannock device. My hunch is that you might want to try them in 7.5.E for starters.

Any idea how long the AE Recrafting is taking these days?

That would probably mean 8E for me then. I'm pretty sure I was an 8.5D on the brannock when measured. The D width shoes by AE fit too tight though!

    Thanks!

This single photo made me reconsider selling my Indy for Jcrew. I got them at 25% off with an additional 15% at the store for a total of $312, which is a steal. I thought I didn't need them since I have 721 and 744 shell Wolverines, but I guess you can't have too many boots.

That was my first intuition, but then you said you tried 5A in 8E and they were a bit too loose. Keep in mind that the rough collection on the 5 last fits a bit differently from FA, 5A, Strand, etc.

thats sort of the direction I was heading in, but since the dalton is a higher boot, even more would be showing. In my head I feel like it could be a good look, I just cant decide whether I should leave jeans stacked on top, or actually stuff them inside the boot and leave the top loose/flared out a little

Here's a question for all of you AE guys.

I don't own any AE's yet, but like their looks and the range of styles fit my personality, so I'm searching for a first pair.

What I am looking for is something extremely versitile that I can wear with jeans out and about dressed up or down.

I like the appearance of the Dalton boot in chocolate for something that would carry me through the winter and then pick up a summer pair or two when the time comes.

That said, do you guys have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance, I appreciate your time.

I'd take a look at one of the following:
    1) AE rough collection, specifically McTavish in Brown of Black
    2) Walnut Strands
    3) Burgundy MacNeil
