There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Lombard is much narrower than Clifton. They are different enough that I think if you tried them on, the fit would make the decision for you. Both nice, though.

What trees are in those PAs? I'm trying to find one that fills the toe a little better than the combination Woodlores.

The Lombard is a wingtip with a rubber sole. The Clifton is captoe with a leather sole. The Lombard is narrower (2 last) while the Clifton is wider (8 last). I have actually tried on both models on 9.5D, the Clifton were fine but the Lombard were tight. On the # 2 last i have to go up to a 10D to get a good fit.

Would anyone chime in regarding sizing on the Park Avenue vs. Clifton?

I wear a 8.5D in the Clifton, would a size.8D work for the Park Avenue?

That seems doubtful--the 5 last that the PA is on is a fairly narrow last, so if anything, I'd expect you to need to upsize in width. Can't you try them on somewhere?

So size up? Probably best to try them on somewhere though, thanks

I've been thinking about these for a while too. If they fit as nicely as Grayson, I may have to get a pair.

Not necessarily--I wear the same size in PAs as I do for other AE shoes.

Your safest bet is trying them on to see if you need to size up--I've never heard of anyone sizing down on the 5 last compared to other AE shoes.

I size down in length but stay at my normal C width.

Interesting--I'll have to take that back then. Probably no real substitute for trying them on.

My car recently broke down just 5 miles from my home, due to circumstances, my only recourse was to walk back home. I was worried because i was wearing my favorite pair of Allen Edmonds shoes, Strands in walnut. The remarkable thing is that i was able to walk through shrubbery, concrete and tarmac with little to no discomfort. Farther complicating things, it started to rain just 2 miles from my home, there would be no option but to brave though it.

Even more remarkable, this is how my shoes looked after a dry off period, followed by a conditioning and polish. I cannot extoll Allen Edmonds shoes enough, they got me home, and were no worse for wear for it. Truly a modern gentleman's suit of armor.

I recently purchased a pair of Lombards in burgundy and after 1 day and 3 miles of walking downtown, they have become my favorite pair of shoes.

My Allen Edmonds SA told me a sale was coming up in the next few weeks, but was short on details on what prices to expect. What kind of discounts do they usually have for one of their sales?

I was told by my local AE that every shoe will be discounted by 10%.

I finally decided to take the risk of buying online and got the strand during the last Nordstrom sale. Some pinching in my left foot, but I am still working on breaking them in... I've started to work on giving the toe cap a nice shine but it's taking forever...
