Would you go for a Bayfield in Brown Cordovan and a Mora 2.0 in Burgundy Cordovan
    or the other way round, i.e.;
Bayfield in Burgundy Cordovan and Mora 2.0 in Brown Cordovan?

I snagged a pair of Mctavish seconds in dark brown cognac yesterday at the Port Washington, WI factory outlet store. I have four pairs of Mctavish:
Black wax infused, natural wax infused, the discontinued distressed brown, and now the cognac. The only color that I'm missing is the new dark brown crackle leather, which I think that I'll be able to live without.

I have also done pretty well with that seller. I think he sells a lot of seconds.

Maybe I'm a bit late to the party, but I've just spotted the Merlot webgems on the AE site.
Quick question, since it's hard to tell the exact colour from their photography, is the merlot close to burgundy?
I already have some MacNeils in chili. Would the merlot be too similar?

Yeah...I was really attracted to the brown/tan Rothsays in particular, when I first saw them. If I can ever cobble up enough money to buy some, Im thinking I will eventually have to own a pair

I received an email about the latest web gem, burnished merlot. My favorite color is dark burgundy. I have walnut and dark brown Strands, and have been debating between black Strands and walnut Daltons for my next purchase. Looks as though those will have to wait.

Anybody have much experience with the burnished models? I am wondering if the color changes much with time and polishing.

Nice Polo. Very nice! I have the natural laces also, but decided to go with the darker standard AE laces so that the laces didn't get to much attention and the shoe got the most attention.

I have had two prior great successful purchases from Hitch n post.

My last purchase was for a pair of randolph shoes, that upon receiving were not only seconds, but no warranty stamped inside of them. NONE OF THIS WAS DISCLOSED.

These loafers squeak so bad coming from the heel area, I cannot even wear them. I contacted the seller, no help what so ever.

I have no Idea what options I have now with these shoes, as I am having a hard time wanting to resell them because of the issues at hand...will Allen Edmonds help? I assume not, because no warranty is stamped. I was really pissed about this purchase.

You can dispute things with ebay if you want. I would contact the seller and let them know you plan to do this since they weren't helpful. Or take them to a cobbler.

Maybe it is simply that the heel is loose? Replacing them might fix it. I had a heel squeak problem with a pair once and that fixed it.

Had this same problem with the same seller. Squeaky shoes and W stamped in the shoe.

The seller offered to take the shoes back if I returned them.
