1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

MTO Fifth Street in Bourbon. Came in with the wrong edge dressing color, dark brown instead of the requested toasted. But they are beauties!

They look great. I haven't seen them in person. You think they'd work just fine in a formal event with a navy suit? (not black tie formal-just formal)

Why do some AE's on the bay that have this hole drilled (?) in the leather soles. More importantly does this denote seconds quality?

From 2 different listings I came across:

They are great with a nay suit or a various light or medium grey suits. I have a summer tan suit that they look amazing with.

No. If it's a formal event, you should wear black shoes with your navy suit.

In the wild pic today of my MTO Addisons. (Golden Brown CXL)
The fit on these is generous, but insole and heel pad fixed it 100%.

That's the best detailed in the wild shot of the Golden Brown CXL I've seen so far, definitely going to jump on a pair of those rush streets now.

Another question about Allen Edmonds seconds! I ordered Elgins during their two pairs for $250 sale, and thought they looked great -- there was a little irregularity in the leather between the cap and the throat, but it was difficult to detect. Then I realized that they had sent me 14EEE instead of 14E, so I returned them, and the pair they sent me in exchange has a left shoe that is noticably darker than the right shoe. Also, though I've worn a 15 in Allen Edmonds, and a 14 regular is a little too narrow for me, these are just a touch too wide, and my heel slides around a bit when I walk in them. I wouldn't think of returning them if the width was the only issue -- I'd just insert a tongue pad or something -- but combined with the appearance, I am thinking of returning them. I dont' want to be the guy who buys seconds and then nit-picks about them; I have no problem with my Dalton seconds, and wouldn't have had a problem with my original pair of Elgins, if they had actually been the size I ordered. But I don't know what to do here. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Drilled hole = Display mode
Burnt in shoe image = seconds
W or writing which says No Warranty on sole and in liner = something wrong more than the tolerance for seconds

Looking good! As much as this is a shoe forum, I would love to see more of us posting pictures of us in full attire. Having a nice pair of shoes is no use if we don't pair it well with nice clothes. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
