Without any knowledge of your dress environment or what you would be wearing with them, I will note that you have a black and a light brown brogued balmoral dress shoe, a grey casual shoe and a pair of light brown boots. If you are looking to fill holes in your wardrobe, I'd start with a burgundy loafer (the Randolphs are the most dressy, followed by the McGraw, followed by the Patriot), followed by a burgundy blucher wingtip (MacNeil), followed by either the black Park Ave or the black Leeds. However, the lack of availability of "truffle" in the future would make me go for the Dundee first.

I have been considering a black / burgundy shell saddle, or a brown shell (or burgundy shell) with walnut grain (calfskin on the "saddle" section) saddle shoe... good luck with your decision.

    Edit: Similar to this:

Yes, $299 is as good as it will get for the foreseeable future. It may be $299 again, but not likely any better.

Very nice! They look like they fit you well - I know I love mine.

+1 with one clarification: if we're talking BLACK pants, then only black shoes. (Someone must sell them, but he only time I'm ever in truly black pants is when I'm in a tuxedo!)

If we're talking charcoal pants, I would feel comfortable wearing a pair of (very) dark burgundy shoes.

I received my cappuccino strands MTO. Was so excited I went home instead of going to lunch to open the box. However was very underwhelmed when I tried them on. While they look great, the fit on the left shoe is off. Even after lacing there is a gap wide enough on both sides , to stick a finger in. Here is a pic of the left shoe. It looks like bowing.not acceptable for firsts. I'm quite disappointed.

A google search for the shoe bank didn't return much. Is the number 262-284-7158?

Just received my pair of Long Branches in Waxy Brown leather! I'll spare the pics since this thread it littered with Long Branch pics. Gotta say, I love the way these feel. It's also incredible how light they are compared to my Shell Cordovan Dalton's.

For those long time owners, how are you caring for these? Saddle soap? Also, anyone try weather proofing them yet?

That is the number, although any AE outlet can help you.

Nice to see die hard Alden fans on this thread!
