Would be interested to see what outfits she wears with AE shell haha. Unfortunately my SO shows no interest in high-quality footwear, instead opting for quantity

Just make sure they are made of something Horween!!!!

I think most of mine are. Now when on business trips, I tend to wear my PTB Trickers, and I am honestly not sure whether they are made of Horween leather, most likely not.

Fifth Ave and rutledge would be the closest bets.

Fifth Ave is too plain and Strand is too busy. I could compromise with Rutledge, but then it doesn't appear to come in Burgundy, Oxblood, or Merlot.

Perf toe, comes in merlot, but not a balmoral.

I'd be interested in seeing what a MTO Rutledge in merlot/burgundy would look like.

Wolverine does its own manufacturing on the 1000 Mile line, except for the shell limited runs and the Krause (which is also AE). The main difference is that AE always does 360 welts, including on their W1K's. The standard W1K has a 180 welt. AE also uses their standard, hard insole on their W1K's, but Wolverines use a much softer insole.

Wearing my 721s today in fact.

This pair was not sno-sealed or anything special (though a very light oiling since they were super-dry when I got them). Only VSC since then. My 744s are super-dark from sno-sealing, and look like an espresso color at this point.

I would be interested in a Mid Brown Shell makeup of the discontinued Marlow austerity brogue (looks like a macallister, but nowhere as busy).. unfortunately the funds arent there right now.

My Dalton's are still squeaking like crazy after 10 or so wears. I put a good bit of conditioner/cleaner under the laces but they still squeak. Any tips?

Wow, I really like the Marlow. First I've seen of it. Seems it would be beautiful in walnut.

Has anyone tried ordering bourbon polish from the AE website? I placed an order 3 weeks ago and have yet to receive them. The status on my account page for the order still has it listed as "order received".

My Dalton's are still squeaking like crazy after 10 or so wears. I put a good bit of conditioner/cleaner under the laces but they still squeak. Any tips?

You can take them by your local AE Store and they have a "Special" creme that they will apply to the underside fo the leather. I believe all stores have it in an unmarked bottle that is not sold over the counter. It should help with the squeaks. I had it done to my Franciscans.

Those look awesome, pdxmatt! I just ordered a pair of size 9 to replace 8.5's that were tight and short in the toebox. I hope they look like this. The 8.5's they sent had severe creasing on the uppers as if they were tried on multiple times and then boxed for a few years.
