1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Nice! What was the makeup again, and when did you order them?

I go in often enough that they know me by now, and usually they mention it to me.

Plus, I can't stand to see shell not being worn

For the clearance price? I thought it only applied to the site?

Merlot burnished calf, blind eyelets, v-tread tap sole with midsole to maintain the "boat-anchor"-ness discussed above, brown split reverse welt, and some manner of mystical blending on the sole edge that Allison said would make them all purdy.

I also odered trees and polish right from Allison, as I forgot to do it last time.

It was four (4) weeks yesterday since my order.

Is it just me, or has three identical posts popped up from three different and relatively new accounts inquiring about having black Park Avenues and walnut Strands, and needing to build up their wardrobe/shoe collection? Surprised no one else has seemed to notice this.

Quote:Lol, Yea I guess it's everyone's first shoes. I did order the Kenilworth today so I guess I now have at least some variety. By the way I get compliments everywhere I go on the Walnut Strand so I'm glad I did go with those as a first

VSC on calf? does that replace using conditioner cleaner and polish?

Quote: Nice, what colour did you end up ordering? I'm wearing my bourbon today.

To answer the question about why Kenilworth vs Flatiron. The understated nature of the Kenilworth blends better with casual and is tasteful enough (esp in Bourbon with the burnished toes) to complement more formal dress pants/button ups.

On an unrelated note my shell leeds and walnut calf strands are stuck in limbo somewhere in WI. I got a shipping receipt Monday that said information received.. still showing the same wed so I emailed the store asking for them to confirm the box was picked up and not sitting in a corner somewhere, promptly got an update that it had been picked up wed evening and now it's showing that it's missing required paperwork/commercial invoice and looks to be halted until they get it. So instead of getting them last Wednesday it looks like the earliest is next Tuesday.

    I want my shell!!!!......

I went with the Bournished Brown since I have the Strand in Walnut. I really liked the Bourbon but figured I needed a darker brown for variety. Plus I'd like to get away from wearing black with my charcoal suit and I think the brown will go nicely

Nice, I was tempted to grab another pair (in Brown) in this recent sale. I'm sure you'll be happy with them.

I started this month with black Harrison and walnut fifth ave so I guess I'm an outlier :)
For a next pair I have my eye on either cognac mctavish or bourbon flatiron.

Just noticed that the Sale banner at the top of the AE site says " while supplise last"...:satisfied:
