Unless it drives you absolutley nuts, keep them. It would drive me crazy, but that is just me, haha. Luckily you bought them from Nordstrom and should have no problem exchanging them.

    For OP:

Honestly, I can't tell what you're talking about. Looks good to me, especially for that price.

But nordstrom has a very generous return policy if you're not satisfied. May be a fair exchange of time for peace of mind.

But as has been posted before, 300$ really isn't expensive at all in the world of Goodyear welted shoes, and allen edmonds generally provides a good sweet spot between quality and price for most of us.

If you really want a perfect boot of the highest level finishing, be expected to pay at LEAST twice or three times as much.

I honestly like the look of the darker ones much much better. The darker color of the leather and welt make the shoe look more formal, and much less goofy IMO. Both great shoes though!

I wouldn't think that one needs to pay $600+ for a pair of boots where the eyelets lineup. Seems like basic QC to me

I'm not sure about him, but I just grabbed a pair of 12EEE Truffle McCalister's so I suppose I have you to thank. These will go well with the MTO Cappuccino Leeds and MTO Cappuccino Rutledges I ordered/recieved.

I was considering one last order of a MTO Truffle Dalton, but now I have the wingtip angle covered in this color...at less than half the cost.

    Thanks again!

One is a longwing derby the other is a shortwing oxford. Different enough for me. I have shell MacNeils and Cambridges in burgundy.

I agree. The colors are pretty close and both may be wingtips, but the similarities pretty much end there. I think both can fit into a rotation, even if it's a relatively small one.

Now you can't throw out a bomb like those cappucino leeds and rutledges without pictures now, Sir!

    Aaaah!

Silly me, I misread his post and obviously didn't look at the picture well enough.

I thought he was referring to the medallion perfing being slightly askew.

    Oops.

Yes, I would likely return them.

Now I'm tempted to grab the second pair and strip the edge to natural....

I am in the same boat. My Merlot McAllister's are my favorite pair. But have been eying the macneils for a minute. So I went for the burgundy shell. Price was too good. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4

I like it! If I didn't already have the other two truffle pairs, I would have done the same.

What details did you request as far as edge trim / welt, outsole, and insole?

The Leeds are still at my folks house (sent there to save $30 in taxes) and the Rutledges are still in processing at the factory. Pictures will of course folllow once I have them in my possession.
