^^I don't have the Boulder, but from my experience, the fit of the PA is the same as the Strand and McAllister (they're all on the same last). There might be some slight differences, especially because of the extra layers of leather on the Strand and McAllister, but they're not enough to warrant getting any of them in a different size

My feet are long and narrow. I believe the 5 last should be a good fit. Should I expect all of the mocs to be pretty close to the same size?

anyone familiar with the Alden Barrie fitting compared to the AE Leeds? I've never fitted the Leeds, but am entertaining a MTO..

    thanks in advance!

I am 8D in Leeds and Barrie. Order up!!
I should note that I am slightly under 8.5 on the Brannock. I went into AE fully expecting to be an 8.5 in the Leeds, but the 8 was perfect.

I own the Townley in shell and its on the same last. Definitely more narrow than the Alden Barrie last. I'd certainly try on the Leeds before I placed an MTO order. I wear a 12D in the 1-511 last and an 11.5 in the Barrie.

The Leeds looks like an awesome PTB BTW

I am 8D in Barrie and 8.5D in the Leeds. Typically the Leeds is TTS

I am 8 EEE in all AE shoes. I can size up in few lasts with different width . But 8 EEE is the safest option for me.

I don't have any Barrie lasted shoes, but I think I would be an 8.5D. I am a 9D in the Leeds. I would go with your Brannock size for the Leeds.

thank you gentlemen, looks like TTS may be the way to go. luckily, I have "easy" feet, so going up or down is relatively doable

I just caved. Amazon flashed a $50 gift card deal at me if I got their credit card, and I decided to bite. My total amount out-of-pocket came to $226 (20% off for shoe email subscription+$50 gift card). $219.22 if you count the 3% back in rewards I'll get from the new card, too.

Not bad at all for my second pair of firsts, and for one as popular as the Merlot Mcallister, An extra $70 for no defects and no polished cobbler? Looks like things turned out for the better!

I'm curious as to what you mean by this. Do they sell corrected grain versions at the Shoe Bank?

    Hello guys,

I am going to spend two weeks in Orlando next month (Kissemmee area, of course [IMG]). Unfortunately there is no AE outlet around so I wonder if someone could recommend a good source for discounted/second Allen Edmonds shoes. I did a search by myself last year, but have not been successful. Thanks for each and every advise. [IMG]

Good luck - I know some people have had issues with Amazon's first quality shoes in the past

Nope, Shoe Bank and AE Outlets sell Seconds (Irregulars), shoes that didn't make through QC. They're not corrected grain (unless the model itself is a corrected grain model, but I don't think AE has used "polished cobbler" in years.)
