Go to the bottom of the opening page - click on "catalog request" under "Customer Care"

Oh...that makes sense. That's the first real world pics I've seen of the shell strands in walnut. They are really stunning. My dream AE would be the Macneil in that same walnut shell. I'd even go so far as to say it may be worth the custom shoe upcharge.

Is it me or did they label a lot of the shoes in the catalog on the 3 last. The Newmora looks great, Rutledge will be nice to see in person. I'm in the market for loafers, not much new there...

I've been trying on a variety of Macneil's lately to get the right fit. My feet are slightly wide, somewhere between an 11D and 11E on the brannock. I'm a perfect 10.5D in the barrie lasted bluchers (LWB and PTB) but I need an 11E for the Macneil (#7 last). Hope that helps. There was probably a much more efficient way to convey that thought.

The 3 beside each shoe isn't the last, it indicates "shoe size chart" aka page 57 of the catalog.

Which models would have a similar profile as the AE Leeds as well as similar last?

Really in love with the AE Leeds model

I picked up a pair from the AE website right around the new year on sale for $175. I ordered them after Christmas and they were delivered in mid January. They're not on the website anymore? Not exactly sure why. I saw several shoes in this color scheme (chocolate upper, natural welt/sole) featured on Pitti Uomo and Paris overviews on the various magazine websites...

Stopped by AE store today, and I saw shell cordovan MacNeill's in #8 new in box for $335 as well as PTBs, and also some cordovan shell loafers, all pairs in color #8 (forgot the style but it was similar to MacNeill). Haven't checked this thread so just posting this in case peeps aren't aware of the sale

I'd order 12D in the Macneils.

Was this at an outlet or 1st quality? That's gotta be outlet/factory 2nd price for shell, right?

Thanks for posting that link to the spring 2012 catalog. Not all the new models are up on the website yet. Given that I'm in the midst of longwing envy/longwing search right now, I'm particularly interested in the Larchmont found on pg 6 of the catalog. A longwing blucher avail in a dark chocolate brown (like the williams) and burnished walnut calf (and black of course). I wish they made a damn Macneil in a non-grained walnut so maybe this is an option.

Here's the catalog pg. Larchmont is in the middle row on the right.

It's on the new #3 last so I have no idea how it fits but it's worth a shot when they show up in stores.

Also, take a look at the description for the macneil. All the colors with the exception of black calf are listed as MTO. Wonder if that means they will stop stocking the other colors/leathers as stock catalog items going forward. I better get my burgundy shells asap if that is in fact the case.

^^ Those Larchmonts have a nice chiseled toe to them, they look sharp. Hope that new 333 last works for them, and for you :)

I just called a store to confirm this. They told me $499. But they did not have my size in stock and said they'd have to order for me. They said both burgundy (is this #8?) and black were on sale. Not sure why the price difference, unless the $335 is limited to stock on hand.

I'm going to call another store. Maybe the upside is I saved $325 by their not being available.

EDIT: Called a second store. She was very clear on two things:
    1. $499 is the sale price in retail stores; $335 is outlet price and would be for seconds.
    2. Sale is limited to stock on hand. They can call around to other stores, but they won't be able to order from the factory at this price.

$499 is better than $575, but not enough for me to jump on it at this point.

I'm not sure how Furo's store is selling at the $335, but whoever lives near there should jump on them.
