Short answer . No not really
There are some shell Westchesters for sale in some sizes right now on the AE website.
nice match of the shoes and belt, which belt are you using?
I like the gray pant+walnut strand combination.

Any way to get pricing on Nordstrom sale w/o actually going into the store?
^ Online on the 19th?
New to me Burgundy Shell MacNeils
After some Renovateur, edge dressing, and brushing
RL Marlow Wingtips next to MacNeil Longwings

I know pretty much nothing about AE lasts, and I have no stores near me to check them out, so:
I wear a 9.5 in the AE Wilberts, and I'm looking to pick up the Strands here on the Nords sale. The Wilberts are perfect on my right fit, a TOUCH big on my left. Stay with 9.5 for the Strands?
Yes, you don't want to have shoes that are too small, and a touch big can be solved by a insole.
It's a brand new pair of shoes, just brush will do. But putting on reno won't hurt either.
I am at 11 1/2 weeks. I ordered on 4/26. Was told 6-8 weeks on a pair of Shell Walnut Macneil. Last Monday I spoke with Allison and was told my MTO did not pass inspection, so they were being remade. She said I would hear from her in a week or so, so I am anticipating hearing from her soon....
I am wondering ryderfan, were your Walnut Shell? I know they were very limited on their supply of that.
Mine are cappuccino shell. I was now told the same thing as you; that they did not pass inspection and have to be re-made. So I am guessing it will be at least a few more weeks for me. I was not told how or why they did not pass and I also asked if I could purchase them as seconds. It took me 3 weeks of emailing every 3 days to finally get an answer as to what was going on. A bit of a frustrating process...
Yup, I am in the same boat. I ordered in the beginning of May and was just told that my MTO didn't pass inspection either. I'm supposed to hear something in "a few days." Mine aren't Walnut Shell...just burgundy calf.
I'm happy to see AE's QC dept is meticulous, but just based on this thread, I'm surprised; there appears to be a higher percentage of shoes that don't pass QC than I would have thought.
Ha! I also asked if I could purchase mine as seconds...what was the outcome in your case? I'm still waiting to hear back.
