    Werger,

Thanks for the info. I do, because I love that style of shoe and I found some great deals on different colors. I find the Walnut color goes well with light grey charcoal and denim, the dark brown with denim and the black and cordovan with black and navy suits.

That's good to know that it's fairly normal albeit shorter than normal. I walk with a heavy step, I just wondered because in the past, J&M loafers didn't wear down as fast in the sole and heel, but would wear in the front of the shoe - which is why I switched companies.

Do you live within a decent drive to a USA major city? Many Nordstrom Department Stores are located in the northern USA major border areas.

    Those shoes are sexy.

I am on the fence- either going for those in walnut or walnut Strands. I dress more business casual than anything and I fear the Strands would be too formal. Thoughts anyone?

Current rotation has 3 pair of wingtips, a wingcap (Hampton) and some loafers.

Strands are pretty flexible from what I understand. I want to get the Walnuts then work on my suit game.

I'm looking for an AE in a cap toe or a wing tip that uses a shinier leather than the Park Avenue. I can put a mirror shine on the Park Avenue, thanks to the awesome tips here, but would prefer to have a shoe that has an overall higher shine. Any suggestions, even if it's (ahem) outside of the AE brand? Thanks.

I don't know what your business casual is like, but here are my Strands yesterday in what I would say is more relaxed than the standard business casual out there. Have a look and see if you think they are too formal for the situation. I figure pictures is the best way to tell.

Those Strands look great with what you're wearing. You probably get the "hey, you can pull that off, but I could never do that" at work too.

I like it with those socks. I suppose to make the shoes a little more casual, you could always throw in some brighter colored laces.

Thats about the same type of attire I wear on a daily basis. I too am one to wear colorful socks which helps to keep things more casual.

    Thanks for the images.

The walnut calfskin and the medallion/broguing on the Strands will make them a good fit for biz casual.

Do shells ever go on sale? If so, what's the cheapest do they go for? (PA, Strands etc...)
