1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I have no idea if it's the same, but for what it's worth, Freemans Sporting Club sells the Kenilworth in "Cherry" cordovan:

It is pretty dark in most lights and I like that about it. In bright sunlight it comes out but not much. It sometimes has a purple look to it.

The perfect model/leather combination imo. Too bad it goes for such a high price. I wonder why freemans exclusives never show up on seconds lists like other retailers' models that AE produces for.

They will turn up every now and then. I've come across a pair or two in a brick and mortar outlet, so they should be in the computer system as well. Also, see FREEDBIRD's listings. Some of his are from FSC: http://www.styleforum.net/classifieds/feedback/index/current/classifieds/user_id/23784

Damn ! I am so jealous. Cash flow and logistics prevented me from ordering the Merlot MacNeil. Jeffersonville said they'll keep an eye out if any seconds pop up in my size, but said it's unlikely. They look great. Burgundy MacNeils should be a regular model. Otherwise, I'll have to keep saving for the Cordovan ones.

Thanks! I was a little worried they would be too much with all the broguing but the color keeps it in check. I actually drained my clothes/shoes budget and wasn't anticipating on purchasing them. My wife surprised me for sweetest day. She's a keeper. I think they are my favorite AE's so far. Although once my MTO cordovans come in that may change. [IMG]

Well my first experience ordering factory seconds to Canada turned out to be a success. Picked up a pair of Bourbon Daltons during the sale and they arrived today, no extra money upon delivery and shipped via FedEx.

Very happy AE customer a the moment.

The only defect I could spot was this slightly wrinkled leather on the sides of one of the pairs

Haha. That happened to mine just wearing them.

They look great. Wear them in good health.

For those of you interested. I re-took the photos since I actually got home during day light. The day lighting does a much better job of capturing the shoes.

Sweet baby Jesus, you just made me spend 700 on a pair of shoes.

Edit: false alarm they don't carry my size damn.

If they have the shell in stock, should only be $595. Just have to wait a few weeks to be made.
