I found this picture on ebay. It does not look right to me. Im worried because I think I might have the same issue on one PA, the leather is different, softer. And too many creases even without wear.
I've read about other people having similar issue but with Strands, and they mentioned that problematic shoe was on comb v tap sole... Mine PA has v tap too.
I am really thinking about changing them to leather sole (they are 2nds), but if somebody tells me that 1st quality PA creases like that... I only had Italian/British shoes before and none had a similar problem.

My PA has the same creases, they are firsts. Taking into account that leather quality is similar across AE shoes, it's really how the shoes fit our feet, so the creases are different for everyone.

I seriously don't think having combination soles affect the creases much.

My merlot McAllisters have the exact same ridge. They are seconds and it does not bother me much (less visible from a standing distance) so I kept them.

Dang friends, these are handmade shoes. No two will ever be the same. The "flaws" are subtle differences in every shoe. I own many pairs and they all look good and feel good even with the little nuances.

Here's the list of AE shoes and belts included in the Nordstrom sale. Great price on the Manistee belt ($76.90), which I think is even cheaper than last year's sale price.

So it looks like waiting for the Olive Neumoks was a waste of time since they aren't included in the sale offerings. Didn't somebody say they were confident that all colors of the Neumoks would be on sale?

I wanted walnut McAllister, snuff suede Neumok, merlot belt. Swing and a miss.

Can anyone gives thoughts on the brown Neumok vs. the dark brown cognac McTavish? Nordstrom sale cost is not a factor as I can get the McTavish for the same price.

I don't know the personal needs and appearance that you are seeking to fill, but the Cognac McTavish is a substantially nicer and higher quality shoe. Much more bang for your buck.

Directly from the Nordstrom's site, but I needed to log in with my account in order to see the 'Early Access' sale. I believe you need to be some type of Nordstrom cardholder (debit or credit) to get access before July 19. Then I just filtered by Allen Edmonds.

I was hoping for a suede Neumok too. I may end up with the brown. I like the McTavish too, but already have that in black. The cognac version looks really nice though, so I may take a trip to Nordstroms for a comparison.
