1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

If he's going to roll the dice on a Benjamin suit from EHaberdasher, he needs to order it immediately and post fit pictures. While the fabric and full canvas are nice, the cut does not work for all builds. I had to return mine because the collar gap was beyond extreme.

I would recommend Kent Wang's MTM program. Many have done it for their wedding and the cost is somewhere around $800. Well worth the additional $300 in my opinion.

When did you order these? I'm so excited to get my Cappuccino shell Jeffersons. Hopeful that they come in early.

Thanks. I've been to the Westport store, which is closer to me than Stamford....just curious if it was still there.

Good choice. Hope you enjoy them. And welcome to the forum.

If you end up liking the Daltons and they fit well, consider getting a shell version later.

Walnut, Bourbon, Brown. Sorry for bad photo, but hopefully this helps. Disclaimer, my Bourbon Strands were very different from my Bourbon Flatirons - your mileage may vary.

I honestly don't like the light welt look on the macneils people have been doing lately. It makes the shoe look overly casual in my opinion. It also makes the shoe appear much wider. Any man here with a wife will tell you that darker colors are slimming, and the macneil needs slimming IMO.

The lighter welt looks great on pretty much any other model though, just not the Macneils... But lots of people think they are gorgeous so maybe I'm crazy.

I love the contrast, but you provide an interesting perspective; usually the complaint (although rare) is the opposite when it comes to width. For a LWB, the MacNeil is rather pointy

Not compared to AE's other offerings: Aberdeen, Williams, and (RL) Sanderson (all on the 222 last).

To each his own, but I was actually looking for a more casual version of the McNeil. I haven't thought that the natural welt would make the shoe look wider, but if this is the case, I am actually pretty glad. As noted above, the McNeil is rather pointy for a LWB. I don't think it needs slimming at all. If you think it does though, you might as well opt for the Williams, RL Saunders (or is it Saunderson?) or the Aberdeen all made on the narrow 2 last.

I totally see you point though, but then again, the whole idea of MTO is to provide a custom-made, unique shoe to each individual client. I am happy about the outcome, but I am looking forward to seeing yours with the darker welt to compare the difference.

Navy suede strands with the old suede and single JR sole. I'm happy. Replaced with brown laces.

They look great. I'm sure AE loved making them. Anyway you can post more pics? Show up the details of the shoes. Thanks

Looks like AE will be making penny loafers styled after the Morgan wingtip.

    What do we think?
