Sole looks good, creasing looks pretty severe. I would prefer a pair of 2nds personally

Isn't the creasing naturally inevitable? Or is there a way to reduce the severity? I'm guessing shoe trees and occasional care?

Finally my Factory seconds Chilli LaSalle came today. Other than one scratch outside, issues are only inside, so I am happy.
Enjoy the pictures. I tried to capture the true color since the ones in AE site is orange in color but failed miserably. It's really hard to capture the color of chilli. I feel the pain of the photographer AE used lol.

yea the creasing was the most concerning for me. but factory seconds for park avenues were 200+. and this seemed like a great deal for everyday shoes.

obviously im having significant buyer's remorse. im still contemplating whether a cancellation will be possible.

    thanks for your help.

$199 is the lowest I've recently seen, so if you need a black cap toe to wear frequently then I think you did fine. Don't stress out until you try them on. Worst case you can try to flip them.

New ones are going to crease too. I think you did fine. The best you are going to see for first-quality is $200 at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.

They aren't the best I've ever seen in terms of the creasing, but when you condition and polish and use shoes trees, I think they will turn out to be a solid purchase for $100.00. The pics don't have shoe trees in, so the creasing will look worse.
That's a solid deal. And I agree that if they don't work out you can flip them quite easily at that price.

Same here, I wasn't excited about the look of the shoe, but for the price I should have gone for it.

    Thanks Subutai.

@tietherope : Even I was thinking not to get it, especially after ordering a McAllister during anniversary sale. But for $129, too hard to pass.... This could be used for rainy and snowy days... And now that I see there aren't major flaws in the exterior, I am really happy I did.
