I'm dreading the day my wife finds out how many pairs of shoes I've bought. That'll be a conversation

It is amazing how much bad carpet is in offices. We moved offices recently and had our pick of colors. Despite that, when I go in, I just see another version of the standard crazy/weird stripes over floor tiles.

Makes it easy to tell which photos are taken in offices, though!

My wife has a terrible shopping habit when it comes to matching clothes for our three daughters. This pretty much gives me free reign whenever I actually want to spend money on something. Hopefully there's a similar approach you can take? Since you are aware of it ahead of time you can prepare and be ready for the inevitable "We have to talk".

My clothes habit pales next to my wifes' I think people who study such things refer to it as co-dependence . I call it fortunate

is it worth it to purchase the AE fifth ave and return my BB fifth ave? I do like the combination tap sole on the BB. I also purchased a pair of Cole Haan's air madison cap toe in burgundy here is the link: http://www.colehaan.com/colehaan/catalog/product.jsp?catId=100&productId=648921&productGroup=528733

i paid 199 for the BB fifth ave, and i see there is a sale for 199 on the AE fifth ave.
    should i switch them?

I have the Rutledge, they are amazing and i am younger and more high fashion. i don't get complements on my park or fifth ave, but i get tons of complements on the rutledge. It is also made of a softer premium leather with italian styling.

the park ave and fifth ave feel amazing, but there are very plain in comparison to other shoes. probably since these shoes were design many many many years ago.

Any good deals to be had at the moment on shoe trees? I received two sets of Woodlore Epic cedar trees today, but the recommended size for my shoes (mediums for 10.5D) are ridiculously too small. Here's a pic next to my AE Park Aves:

These are clearly much too small for my shoes. There is no tension at all when the trees are inserted in the shoe, and there's no way they'll do their job to help the shoes keep their shape and prevent wrinkling/creasing. I'll be returning these and looking for something else, preferably cheaper than the almost $30 per pair I paid for these.

Are the cedar shoe trees from Allen Edmonds less desirable? They cost less than $30 per pair and are even cheaper if you buy two sets at once.

Why not use standard AE shoe trees? I have never had a problem with them in my PAs. I wear a size 10 and purchased a size M and there's plenty of tension in the tree.

The epic trees were about 22 at Amazon when I got mine. I purchased some stronger springs for them as well. Check the size stamped on the tree to make sure you didn't get a small in a medium box or order the large. I think there may be a different size chart for the epics. Check the woodlore site for the chart.

If you can live without a brass name plate there are woodlore split toe trees at Nordstrom Rack for 12 or 15.
