^^ Same shoe / different angles: also with me blocking or not blocking various amounts of natural light.

Edit: Actually, I lied... I have 2 right feet [IMG]

Is that a MacNeil in walnut on the left? if so, I wish they still offered the MacNeil in walnut without the pebble grain. Yours look amazing!

Anybody got pics of Kenilworths you have had for a while? Mine seem to be creasing a bit more than anticipated even with consistent care and what not. Been using leather lotion and polish just like normal, but they are creasing worse than my strands.

Thanks for the tip, Patrick_b, Mr. Edward seems like a standup guy.

I almost never buy anything on ebay, but I bought a pair of AE Brookwood tassel loafers last night...look like Graysons, only the "laces" are braided. I wonder when these went out of production. I don't have a burning need for another brown loafer...just got Saratogas the other day, but the price was right, and I figured...what the heck.

    Hi gents,

I have $350 of store credit from Zappos and am going to pick up a pair of AEs as a result. I could use a plain pair of casual (yet still sleek!) black oxfords, so I figure why not.

Does someone mind giving me some sizing advice for AEs? I’m trying to choose between the Strand and the McAllister model.

I wear a 9D in Barrie last, and am a 9.5D on the Brannock device. For those familiar with sneakers, I wear a 42 in Common Projects and a 43 in Margiela trainers. From what I’ve read, I should just go true to size (9.5D), but I wanted to double check to make sure.

Also, what do you guys think is the more casual of the two – the Strands or the McAllisters? Or would you recommend something else?

Thanks for any help in advance!

I would go 9.5D probably although the Strand will be just slightly narrower than the barrie last. If the barrie just fits you but is tight, you could have an issue with the strand in the same width.

I don't have experience with the McAllister but I think it's likely going to be very close to the barrie last.

    Hey all,

I'm looking at getting myself a nice pair of Dark Brown Park Avenue Oxfords - I was going to grab some Loakes 1880 Aldwych, but there is seller here who is offering the AE's for a very good price.

I just used the sizing guide on the website and it looks like i'm a 10US, yet the Lloyd's that I wear are a 8.5UK size.

do the AE's run bigger to size.

    cheers
    ben

UK 8.5 would probably equal an American 9.5 The Park Aves are made on a slightly narrow last so that may explain the 10.
    Welcome to Styleforum Ben.

Isn't McAllister on the same last as Strand, though (5-65)?

Zappos is all out of the combination that I would have originally went with (9.5D), but the 5-65 last seems to run long and narrow. Do you guys think I could get away with a size 9E instead of a 9.5D?
