Thanks, they seem to charge reasonable fees, might well be worth a try.
I have been using myus and hopshopgo for a while. Hopshopgo is in Oregon - meaning you won't have to pay sales tax on your us purchase.Last time I shipped 2 pairs of ae with hopshopgo it costs me $74 . So its not too bad considering the actual cost per shoes is still quite low. AE webiste now ships to Australia direct and 2 pairs will cost me under $60 to ship. But shoe bank don't ship to Australia !
Lol yesterday when I placed my order the girl said they can ship to Australia 2 pairs via fedex for $30. I was really excited. But then after 5 minutes I revived an email form her saying they don't ship to Australia and I gave them my us address !
Not having to pay US sales tax is definitely a good thing, since I have to pay tax at the German customs anyway. Just creating an account with hopshopgo...
I put pics in the Discount Bragging Thread but I just found a set of AE Ashtons in chili at Goodwill, in my size, for $9.99 less a 10% military discount. Out the door for under $10 tax included.
As I paid for them, I was sure someone would recognize them and say, "Oh, this isn't right."
Of course the cashier had no idea what they were or what they're worth; to her, they were just brown shoes.
They shined up beautifully with a neutral polish. They're a little worn but still very nice shoes. I just got a compliment on them from a woman at the grocery store.
Lucky, lucky, lucky. I'm two hours from the border (Niagara) and I would really like to hop the border to shop/pick up parcels since I go down that way from time to time, but I just can't. Border patrol isn't very nice towards people like me.
Nordstrom is having a big sale online. They have parkways for $239 and Clifton's for $199.
I just topy'd all of my AE's, although it was mainly for work. That being said, it's also turned out to be very beneficial for BC weather.
Today, I got to enjoy the fruits of yesterday's labors...
Edit: At some point, I'll take outdoor pictures that won't suffer from such terrible lighting. In the meantime, I present this.
The cliftons are only in brown and only in a 12D.
I think the Clifton and Parkway have been on sale ever since the semi-annual sale; haven't they?
in brown maybe
the black, burgundy, and walnut are 299
Oh let the trash talking begin! Haha
"...people like me"? What, you been caught with some of our world-famous "BC Bud"? Lol. It is great when it works smoothly...
Do these shoes do anything for you? I have to admit that I am somewhat infatuated with them. Part of it is that they are Strands, amongst my favorite AE's. The other part is that they are suede; I recently was trying to scratch the suede itch for the first time. I popped that cherry when I found the chocolate suede Player's in my size.
I have other needs; Bourbon Strands come to mind as do chocolate Dalton's.
I have no idea what I would wear them with. They feel like a novelty, but the infatuation is there nonetheless. Perhaps it is the get 'em now or never aspect to them.
I'm not quite sold on them yet, but if I were to pick up a pair, it would be these. I really wish I had have picked up navy player's.
