I went a half size under my normal on the football webgems and the olive Neumoks. The football ones fit perfect and the olive pair are a bit snug. If I knew when I ordered them what I know now, I would have ordered the olive pair TTS. When I tried on the Neumoks at the factory store in Port Washington, I tried a half size down and they fit well and I was wearing normal socks. when the olive pair I ordered arrived at the house, they turned out to be snug even with wafer thin socks, but they are starting to loosen up. It's hard to tell sometimes what to order--my Ridgeways I ordered TTS and they are big. Measured on a Brannock, my feet fall somewhere between 11.5 and 12.
But to address the thing you were wondering about, I sized down a half size on the football webgems and it worked out perfectly for me.
I wish you good luck with whatever decision you make.
You could also just email shoebank and ask to be put on the list. Or just buy something from them?
I appreciate the response guys. Now to decide if I need some football leather shoes...
I continue to be impressed by how awesome the McAllisters in Bourbon.
Those are absolutely stunning. If I had a pair of shoes on my feet what looked like that, Mondays would be far more tolerable.
The thicker leather is the culprit. AE doesn't make adjustments to their lasts for specific shoe styles, they are far too large of a company and have far to many lasts in far to many sizes to do that. Not to mention that if you change the shape of the last, it is no longer the same last and would require a new number and shape description. The shoe is already lasted before the welt is stitched on, so the welt won't change the width of the shoe from a fit standpoint. The double oak sole and split reverse welt will make the shoe appear more substantial which may visually translate to a wider looking shoe. The thicker leather cowhide of the Rough Collection that isn't lasted as tightly as the thinner calf skin is causing the subtle differences in fit.
Saddle brown Soho today.
I think those look fantastic. Job well done.
That's basically the reason I mentioned the sole in addition to the leather. If he's looking at finished shoes, it may foot him into seeing it as wider.
Does anyone know what color exactly are these Strands?
