1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Switch it to the Burgundy Park Ave's and then the Bourbon Strands. Or Walnut McAllisters

Ultimately, the shoe will develop creases anyway. For me, it wouldn't be a deal breaker, especially given the price.

Thanks. Yeah, I know. It's just that this one is right there under the ankle. Anything I can do to smooth it a little? I'm relatively new to shoe care. Conditioner/Cleaner?

You could always see if they have another pair, buy them, and decide which is best. According to many people on the forum you can get free return shipping, if not then you would have to pay about $11 to ship back the pair you don't want.

Finally! My first pair of AE, finally got to a store to be properly measured and fitted- loving my Flatirons in the 8 last, these are just elegant and comfortable like a glove. LOVE the Bourbon calf leather, what a great rich, versatile color- was loving Walnut until I saw the Bourbon in person and will be wearing mostly with darker colors and just don't feel the Walnut with that palette...

Oh- had to grab the matching belt in the Manistee Bourbon... : )

If you don't have a black dress shoe, then a black PA is a solid choice. If you don't have a medallion cap toe, then a brown or walnut Strand. I really like the mileage I get out of the brown Strand. Personal tastes vary, but I can wear the brown strand with almost anything. Walnut is SF favorite as well. Otherwise a McAllister would be a solid staple shoe as well.

Thanks for the detailed reply. I'll probably pick up some LL for the Elgin and keep the CC just for my McAllister and other dress models.

I think I saw the word "the" ("Black shoes with Navy suit is the proper conservative business attire") and assumed he meant it was the best form of CBD.

thanks. i read on another forum that someone sent them back to AE due to a defect (squeaking heels) and AE just returned them saying there was nothing they could do because it's a discontinued shoe.
