I like these better, white is just hard for me to consider in a dressier shoe
Thanks, I really am torn. However, these are in no way a dress shoe--especially with the natural sole. Would be worn with chinos and perhaps jeans.
Just wore my Neumoras the first time and both shoes squeak up a storm. What the hell...
Yup. Probably long gone by now.
My RL Saunders chukkas were waiting for me at the door tonight. Ordered a 12d to see if they would work for my usually 13d or 12.5e feet (since nothing was available above a size 12). Length is great. Toebox is just about adequate, with maybe a tiny amount of pinching on my Pinky toe. I expect this to stretch a bit over time, since they're calf.
I wouldn't personally have gotten that color but other than that you're golden.
Driving to san diego to see some family on Friday, coming back up saturday, Grammy's on Sunday and Jay Leno on monday, coming back tuesday
hhaa ya probably right, but considering i have walnut, bourbon, and cordovan brown for the strand, a 4th pair doesn't make that much sense. Having them for the sake of the rarity would be nice, but there is nothing i can't get away with having the walnut calf compared to the cordovan
Another pair will come along at some point
In Bloomberg Businessweek January 21-27th 2013
Not trying to start a political argument. Just thought it would be interesting for people.
So I sold off my last pair of burgundy shell Mac Neils because they never fit right. Saved up and bought a pair of firsts. The new finish is WAY darker than it used to be, but I like it. Here are the shoes:
Compared to an older pair of burgundy shell Leeds, they look like they're a whole different color of shell:
So besides my shell Mac Neils that came in today, I have a pair of BB walnut strands and orange and white Neumoks on the way. Wife also said something about ordering me another pair of custom Neumoks... I think she's a keeper.
Oooh nice. How did you score the Leno tickets? (Only part that really interested me)
Just caught a Craig Ferguson show. The man is a genius.
What model are these? Discontinued? I don't see anything similar on the website.
They are Wolverine 1000 mile shell cordovan 744 LTD edition (2nds). Made by AE. I believe they only make 1,000 per year. These obviously didn't pass QC due to the tear on the tongue.
