I hope the Dalton doesn’t go away. It’s only of only two (Hamilton?) boots available with a full range of sizes and widths.
Sizing is one of the reasons I really like them. They’re perfect on me at 11.5 2E. It’s that 2E part that’s nice ☺️

For whatever reason(s), the toes on my natural shell Higgins Mill boots seemed very dark to me upon arrival. (Burnishing?) I just rubbed them with some Renovateur and they’ve lightened up/evened out a bit. Lotta variation in this natural shell. (I’m very happy with the pair, though. Might even wear them one day.)

Looks almost bourbon to me, a good thing in my opinion! Torn betwixt the once-in-a-lifetime marbled chili and the twice-in-a-lifetime natural I had to choose the former, but, there are sometimes regrets...

These are “just happened to be marbled.”

I balked at natural last fall and regretted the decision…

Same. Even the possibly overrated natural Strand has been looking fantastic from the photos I've seen, moreso this year than last I think.

And well, the product photos on the website looked a stark oversaturated yellow/tan. Not sure how anyone would have purchased anything based on those photos, and had they done so, they might have been disappointed in the pale reality of natural in person. The sample pairs were great, however.

Agree. In my head, I said “…why would I need another ‘walnut’ strand”? The real products look so different.

I think I’ve been sleeping on Park Aves in cool colors. I would definitely do PAs in natural. Maybe next year we’ll get some other shoe vault styles (even Fifth Aves or McAllisters again would be nice).

What do y’all think of this? Is this on the normal spectrum?

Left Boot

Right Pair

Please do yourself a favor and do not accept them as they are. The right boot will likely work well, but the left will never feel right as you walk. The fulcrum effect of the rear being so far off the ground is really annoying and actually causes me pain. I would not wear them if they were free. Either fix them or ditch them.

Happy WTW forum pals. Today, a blast from the past. January 1990 shell Florsheims I picked up on Ebay last month. It is so sad that they did not realize that there was just too much waste when they were making these. ;)

Today's infamous date felt like an appropriate day to break out the Normandy boots. Need to get another pair of the round yellow/brown laces that came with them originally and are currently residing on my Freeport boots. The Normandy just looks better with that color contrast in place.

…do my “gunboats” count thematically, too?
