I only have five ae boots.

Mine would be:

1. Dalton.
2. Dundee.
3. Hamilton.
4. Alpine.
5. Caen.

This feels like a lie. For some reason, I'm remembering that you have a pair of Sullivan Street boots. If those aren't on your top-5 list, you're drunker than I am right now. Then again, being drunk means I'm probably misremembering your Sullivan Street cred.

Donkey's Top 5 AE Boots?

1. Higgins Mill
2. Freeport
3. Sullivan Street
4. Normandy
5. Alpine Monkey

Oh, you are absolutely right. I -do- have a Sullivan St pair of boots, but I have semi-retired them due to a tear that AE can't fix. I have to bring them back to my cobbler in NY to fix, so I haven't worn them in about 6 months. That is why they must've slipped my mind. I am embarrassed and ashamed regardless, though, so thank you for fixing my moral lapse.

Okay, so with the Sullies considered:

1. Dalton.
2. Dundee.
3. Sullivan.
4. Hamilton
5. Alpine.
6. Caen

Your guy in NY can fix them. Oh, and this usually doesn't end without me spending money on footwear......wife gone this evening, watching cooking and boot videos on YouTube......Wish me luck boys...

Wearing black Rutledges tonight.

For fans of seasonal "A-E In The Wild" pictures.

For fans of food pictures in shoe threads, Champagne and me at the Galley Bar in the Biltmore Hotel.

Now the whole world knows my red and green Christmas socks aren't over-the-calf socks. I'm probably on Santa's "naughty" list now.

For fans of random Los Angeles night life pictures in shoe threads, two more pictures at the Gallery Bar.

For those who thought the Christmas Tree in the second picture wasn't big enough.

16 watchers. That tells you how much love there is for the original natty Higgins. Seller says these were worn less than 5 times, so I'm not sure I'll go for them.

I'm taking my mother to church today. Later on I'm making dinner for my wife's family, I'm making lamb stew. Should warm the bones on a cold grey day here in the Rockies. Wearing navy and grey today, when I stepped outside I became nearly invisible.

You are right to be cautious, since it’s fewer, not less.
