It's been a long time since I posted on this site (and was interested in men's style... artifact of a new life in Silicon Valley!) but had long had navy cordovan on my mind, so with the trunk sale going on I trekked to a local store and got,
- Fifth Avenues in Navy, antique welt
- Strands in Natural (looking forward to some experimentation w/burnishing!)

My AE Cambridge shell cordovans are roughly 10 years old now, worn roughly every third day since purchase, and look and fit amazingly, so I am looking forward to another couple of very different shoes in the same last!

You’ll love your acquisitions! I think you mean 5th street, though, right?

So many here don’t understand that dressing up in Silicon Valley is tough. You can go smart casual though, especially if it’s loud. But then it’s even worse in Seattle, where everyone wears dark and drab colors

That’s why shoes a great. You can dress them up or dress them down if you get the right pairs.

Pulling out the Woollymok today as it might rain. We are now heat on in the house as my wife likes to walk around half naked. Ugh. For all my Silicon Valley friends. We still put our pants on one leg at a time.

ordered my Natty Chandlers through the LA store yesterday over the phone, got the e-receipt and they charged me for V-tread sole. Ugh. I've had the worst luck with this store over the past year. The irony is the trunk show is actually there this weekend.

Never mind. Reading comprehension is hard.

Call them and ask for a refund. You had to manually enter the $40 discount on each pair to waive the SMU fee. The receipt will still show the full price with the SMU fee, plus a price adjustment.

That’s weak! Might I recommend Kyle at the South Coast Plaza store, he’ll take care of you.

What sole did you want on your shoes?

The system doesn’t have single JR as an option, so if you chose single JR with a specific welt color, they just had to put in a random sole and leave a note.

I ran into that issue yesterday with my orders.

I wanted V-tread - but shouldn't have been charged for it.
