Happy Tuesday! I heard some of you might be interested in seeing our Limited Drop styles in the wild. Personally, I’m a big fan of the Chili & Beige Linen.

Friendly reminder, we are entering our last week of this current Limited Drop. Make sure to give your favorite store a call, I know they would love to hear from you!

If you have have FOMO but these don’t fit your budget right now, don’t forget we offer installment payments through ZIP. Or if you’re hiding money from your significant other, our website now accepts Venmo, too!

Oxblood McAllister.

When I first started working for AE, I didn't know if I would wear the shoes or not since they're men's shoes. I started trying on as many as I could to familiarize myself with the sizing, how the different lasts felt, etc. I fell in love with the McAllister's immediately. Since then, I've been hooked...

Wait...does this mean I finally get to retire?

Wearing calf and Kudu Home Rangers today. Yes, recently washed the laces.

For fans of "A-E In The Wild" pictures, at Palisades Village (a Rick Caruso retail development) in Pacific Palisades CA this morning. Was there to have lunch with two girls I was at school with.

Apparently camel hair jackets are, like me, an American thing. The same probably applies to saddle shoes.

The statue behind me is called "Steadfast". Here's a picture of the front of it.

Here's a picture of the plaque behind it.

For fans of food pictures in shoe threads, someone got into today's picture.

Orange and white were our old school colors. Since we graduated in 1965 the colors have been changed to orange and black, like Halloween.

For those who may be wondering why Porta Via, an Italian restaurant ,serves Chinese food, I figured it out. This is a recipe Marco Polo brought back from China.

For those who weren't around in the sixties, here's some Flower Power.

Would have been nice if the music being played was George Burns singing, "You'll never be sixteen again, going where you've never been". We're all 75 now, except for Duffy The Dog, who is 8. Even in dog years Duffy The Dog isn't 75.

I am looking for a person to pick up my pair of boots for me from a retailer in LA. The shop in near Western and Beverly Blvd. I will be happy to pay any charge for gas and mailing. I can't do it because I am 2700 miles away. Please PM me if you are willing to assist me.

UPDATE: I have a volunteer and the game is afoot.

A final conclusion to my efforts at rescuing my Alden suede cap toe boots I sent in 5 months ago. An LA forum member (who I will not name as I do not have his permission) was EXTREMELY kind to interrupt his busy schedule and attempt a rescue of the boots from Willie's Shoe service. The short version is that the hook replacements had not been performed. (Well, 1 hook out of 8 on one boot had been changed.) The cobbler asked him to return in 30 minutes while he finished the work and looked for the other boot. Yes, he lost one of the boots somewhere in his shop. 30 minutes later the second boot remained lost and the forum member was asked to leave. There is the smallest of chances that they will ever surface again and find their way back to me, but at this point I am cutting my losses, thankful that I had not sent him some rare shell boots. I am eding the effort after 4 months of phone attempts and broken promises from the cobbler. My very public thanks to the efforts of this forum member and others who reached out to offer assistance.
