I understand that this thread is 98% senior citizens (I love my seniors).
My Figs polo scrub tops (with a damn collar) just landed. These scrub tops are sexier than the shirts you wear to bingo night.

p.s.
AE offers different color sneaker soles (for the price of a cheap bottle of wine). Focker.
I wonder if I'm the youngest person on this thread???

Anyone here younger than 23.

I'd say I have more GYW shoes than years of life, but I don't think that's unique around here. 😂

I think you're probably the youngest person on the thread. I'm 32, bought my first pair at 27. I think we have a couple others here in their early 30s?

Currently 35. First pair when... 33? Now have exactly 30 pairs with 1 more coming. So I still need a few more.
I'm sure you will cross that line by the end of these anniversary events.

Especially if you like shell and they do something lit for the trunk shoe.

I am 28, so you’ve got me beat by a few years. I got my first pair of AEs when I was 24.

In the last four years, I went from Dockers to Johnston and Murphy to Allen Edmonds (I was probably 19 when I got my first pair) to European makers to Bespoke and now basically back to Allen Edmonds

Now here's a question.

What was your first pair of Allen Edmonds and where did you get them from?

For me, it was a Factory 2nd walnut Fifth Ave from the website, and I bought that specific shoe because it was the most discounted of the "classic" AE dress shoes.

Basically brand new Oxblood PAs from Dabondo1 for about $120 on eBay.

First picture I took of my pair.

Dark Chili Fifth Aves from the Sutter St. store in SF. Got them after trying (and failing) to find EEE sized dress shoes from other brands like Mezlan.

Please forgive the socks.

I was 36 when I got into AE, now 40. First pair was an eBay Daltons in walnut, then another in dark chili, and then a 2nds Fifth Ave in walnut. All of those were recently sold as I just didn't wear them much (Daltons were the wrong size and the Fifth Ave just didn't fit into my wardrobe anymore).

Started in AE & quality GYW shoes at age 39 (3 yrs ago) with 2 pairs - Stuttgart (Walnut in 13D) & Walton (Black in 13D) - from AE.com (price was the most decisive factor as I am in Singapore and returns were not an option) without knowing my correct width....eventually discovered I am 13EEE but i can& do wear these for short periods after stretching them up a width.
