September is too late for a football grain trunk show. By the time the shoes arrived eight weeks later, there would only be a couple games left in the season.

I hope that somebody at AE understands the football season as it relates to real fans. Fans get excited when practice starts in August. College football games usually start around the last week of August. Pro football plays pre-season games during August. It would be ideal to have the shoes for the entire season, which would mean late August or the beginning of September at the latest.

Schedule-wise, this would suggest that AE should offer a special football grain webgem at the beginning of July, OR maybe have a regular model available in stock in August.

I hope someone is listening….

Football grain in your favorite team colors?
May not be feasible but how cool would that be for a 100 year anniversary?

Milwaukee has the best airport sign ever - you just have to get through security to see it.

Pretty sure that isn't a word...

Quoted for reinforcement, highly suggest Patton and Landon be included.
But including a pair of laces in your team’s colors should not be too hard.
+1 If nothing else offer some flat laces in team colors and I'll add it to the order.

Football grain Pattons with a lug sole because I think all Patton fans already have them on Dainite and would welcome the variety. I know that I would.

I’m wearing my natty Freeports today. I really love these boots — maybe even more than the Higgins Mill.

I think that one of the reasons I like this is that it’s a boot on the 1757, and that’s a good fit for me.

It got me to thinking…. Should AE add another boot to the 1757 lineup? We’ve got the Higgins Mill, Freeport, and the Patton. The Patton is not as tall as the others, and all three are fairly casual.

How about a cap-toe version of the HM, with a simple line of brogueing along the edge of the cap-toe? I think with a flat welt the boot would look slightly slimmer. And hidden eyelets might dress it up a little more. I wondered if Alden made anything along those lines, and I found these two.

My suggestion would almost be a mashup of these two. I’d want the hidden eyelets and flat welt combined with the brogued cap-toe.

What do you think?
