Welcome all to the Allen Edmonds Appreciation thread 2022. You will probably find this to be one of the best threads here or anywhere. What makes this thread special is the brotherhood here. Of course we are here first and foremost for the shoes, but there are a bunch of people that make it special. Whether it is your first pair of AE or your 1000th pair, or you are interested in obtaining that magical pair of introductory high end men’s shoes, you will be welcomed. From the young to the old, all are important contributors. You will find great shoes, advice, style, fun, history, and a community that goes beyond shoes. You may find some BMC (bitching, moaning, and complaining) but we also have @ae_ashley to point us shoe loving 6 year olds in the right direction. We have an eclectic mix of people from high end specialty doctors, engineers, managers, Barbers, all the way to hard working garbage men. This thread more than any allows for people to share the magic of AE along with their touching personal stories of accomplishment, family, pets, hobbies, and even tragedies. So come on and mix and mingle and have some fun. Rules of the game as always are: Keep it clean, only poke fun at people who have helped you, help who you can, and do better in this life.

great lookin' boot!

And Happy New Year, gang. I'm wearing flip flops today, as it is nearly 60F here and I have no intention of lifting my large as* out of the sofa today. If it wasn't also raining, I'd have my shiny new Natty Randolphs on. They really are puurty.

Thank you, my shoe brother.
For years, I said that suede was not for me. I received a pair of navy Strandmoks that changed my mind. The Freeport boot is comfortable, has a thick suede upper and a nice masculine sole. This new AE factory lug rubber sole seems considerably more comfortable than my Dainite (I love Dainite soles).

In for the first page. Happy New Year from snowy Chicago. Pattons and Martini Socks from the London Sock Exchange. Vintage Evergleam aluminum Christmas tree in the background.
